Yesterday I spent the afternoon in a workshop, learning about the 'Law of Attraction'. This is not a new concept for me but being in a room with other women and discussing some of the points of 'The Secret' was a new experience.
So was a revelation I have made this week. I realise that I use the law in my business, networking, friendships and it is all working remarkably well. However ,I have a great big blank in the area of a one-on-one relationship with a wonderful man. I came to the realisation that I just don't think it will happen. I read out a piece of writing that I had done the previous day to my friends, and it sounded great to them and to me reading it! It was an interview with Oprah about happynurses success and my life, set in 5 years time.
I had a man and two children in that vision, so I need to really start to believe and take action to make it happen. We also drew pictures of our ideal future yesterday in the workshop, but unlike the one I did 3 weeks ago in another seminar, it had me as part of a happy family right in the middle!
I came back to my flat with Eileen, and looked around at where I live. It is beautiful, colourful, full of photos of my family and pictures of the coast, framed pictures of my future dreams and wishes, but not really anything that suggests a relationship with a man, so I am looking for things to fill the gap!

I find this a fascinating aspect of the Laws of Attraction. I was talking to a friend only last night about it and she thought she could really use the principles in her life and then in the same breath said, "Obviously, not where money's concerned". I nearly fell off my chair! She really thought of herself as someone who just wasn't really cut out to have financial abundance in her life. Needless to say, a good old chinwag later and she left thinking that perhaps she was 'worthy' of wealth.
I'm glad for you that you had your revelation, especially given that you know the L of A works in other areas of your life. Go for it - put it out there and he will come!
