Phew! What a few weeks!

I have had a break from the blog as I have had some big glitches with my laptop which have been fixed by my IT genius friend, Mark, so it should be 'business as usual' from now on.

I have also completed 2 training courses in leadership and performance, and wealth creation with the Chris Howard company. I am ready to move to the 'next level' now and really make happynurses something big and important, for the benefit of all the unhappy and unhealthy nurses out there - and for my happiness and achievement too!

The courses have helped me to know myself better, and to look at what I am doing and how I am going about it. If things are not working as well as we'd like it is easy to give up and think it won't work, but the secrets of the Billionaires are mainly persistence, persistence, persistence!

How could you be more persistent in achieving something YOU dream about, happynurses?

NHS birthday!

This year is the 60th birthday of the NHS and for those who seem to like to complain about it and seek fault then perhaps it would be useful to re-visit what life was like before the NHS was created.

High death rates due to poor living conditions and poverty, no medical help if you couldn't afford it and a hierarchical system that didn't care if you had no money, you would have to suffer or die from your ailment, or have a 'back' street' treatment that may have killed you anyway.
