This is Cheltenham in the snow! the lake is frozen but the sun was out and it was magical. I also went into the Cotswolds with a new buddy this weekend and it was all frosty and looked like 'Narnia' according to him. We could have spent the day complaining about how cold it was and stayed indoors but had a wonderful time in the magical surroundings.
This is a type of 'reframe' when you decide what an event means to you. We ascribe meaning to all events in our lives and they are often unhelpful and keep us stuck.
For example we like a guy but he doesn't ring us and we spend ages wondering what we have done 'wrong'. There are a million other 'reasons' he didn't ring which would empower us to live our lives anyway.
Or our manager at work 'looks at us' in a certain way and we ascribe meaning to that too - are we in trouble, about to be fired, or is she wondering when would be the best time to give you some great feedback?
Be aware of how you give meaning to what happens in your world and create a new story if the one you have doesn't serve you any more.
Create your new future with insight, happynurses
