I love these sunny days when I get a beautiful sunset every evening into my lounge. It makes me realise how lovely some 'simple things' are.
I have also been thinking back to this time last year when my life and health were very different. This month I have run 5km five times despite having the goal of only running it once, at a race-for-life event. Last year I had undiagnosed coeliac disease with anaemia and felt terrible. I had about 3 hours energy a day, and that was if I pushed myself really hard. I was often in bed by 8pm after spending all afternoon on the sofa incapable of thought or activity.
The price of having to eat a gluten-free diet has been worth it - to feel the way I do now. I also decided to give up drinking alcohol as it made me feel so rough, and I drink mainly herbal tea and my energy levels have rocketed.
Happynurses is now on the cusp of developing into something huge - we have 1000 on the email list, I have 9 coaching clients, an NHS Trust interested in working with me, one franchisee who will become a happynurses coach in her area and the most amazing team, most of whom I didn't even know 6 months ago, never mind a year ago. We are gearing up for massive PR once the site is ready and my book is launched in June.
What have you done in the last 12 months, or is your life 'much the same' - same challenges, moans, job you don't really like, or have you taken action to move on? I would love to hear from you. If you need some help, get a coach - seriously - it will transform your life forever, guaranteed!
Get going, happynurses and this time next year - who knows?!
